Known by many as "Slavo", Michael Slivinski played for D.C. United from 1998-2000. The St. Louis,
Missouri
native has played soccer since he was five. As a star midfielder for the U.S. U-17 National Team, Slivinski played
in the 1991 Youth World Cup in Italy where he enjoyed victories over Italy, Argentina and China.
In the China victory, Slavo was voted man of
the match. He went on to become the youngest player to start for the U.S. National Team. Slivinski then dominated

milestones in Northern Virginia include a victory in the State Championship game with the NCSL Division 1 Braddock Road
Titans. Slivinski enjoys developing children through soccer and takes his role with Curt Onalfo Soccer seriously: "I just
like working with kids. I creatively build a session and I really care about what I'm doing. I also try to put myself in
the kids' shoes." |
